A parlay is a single bet that combines two or more selections into one wager, where all selections must win for the bet to pay out.
It is the American term for an accumulator.
How it works
-
Multiple selections are combined into one bet
-
Odds are multiplied together
-
One losing selection causes the entire parlay to lose
Example
-
Team A to win (1.80)
-
Over 2.5 goals (1.70)
-
Player X to score (2.00)
Combined odds: 6.12
Key characteristics
-
Higher potential payout than single bets
-
Higher risk due to all-or-nothing structure
-
Popular for small stakes with big return potential
Important note
Parlays significantly increase bookmaker margin, which reduces long-term expected value.
