A teaser is a type of multiple bet where the bettor adjusts the point spreads or totals in their favor in exchange for lower odds.
It is most common in American sports.
How it works
-
Two or more selections are required
-
Point spreads or totals are shifted by a fixed number of points
-
All selections must win for the teaser to pay out
Example
-
Original spread: Team A -7.5
-
Teased spread: Team A -1.5
-
Lower odds than a standard parlay
Key characteristics
-
Reduced risk per selection
-
Lower payout compared to regular parlays
-
Common in NFL and NBA betting
Important note
Despite safer lines, teasers still carry parlay-style risk and compounded bookmaker margin.
